Very bad transmission slip and Leak on A8

I have 2016 Camaro ss with 600 miles on it. Was driving it the other day and the transmission basically gave out. Had to give it more gas than usual just to make it move. When the issue happened the car was jumping in and out of gears and smoke was pouring out the rear end. I stopped and seen the car leaking a lot of tranny fluid. I'm assuming the white smoke was from the tranny fluid burning on the exhaust. Was at a stop light and tried to leave and cars rpms went up but didn't move and made a noise in the tranny. It finally engaged and I went straight to the dealership a couple miles away. I have seen the A8 is having all kinds of issues with the torque converter? But no one has said anything about leaking fluid..what happened to mine? Any opionions?

Thanks

One off issue. That sucks but it's not a known problem.

Slipping due to loss of fluid.

Has this recall been done?

Known issues with the A8. Mine did the same thing a few weeks ago, basically crapped out as soon as I pulled into the dealers garage, wouldn't go into drive nor reverse. They basically had to rebuild my transmission, gear supposedly "fell out" and it was a mess inside the transmission. $3000 in warranty work was billed to GM. Works great now...good luck, mine was out of service and at the dealer for a week!

Yea probably what happened to mine. It's at the dealership now but no word on what actually went wrong with it.
