MRT V2 Exhaust

Looking at picking up a lightly used set of MRT v2 exhaust for my LT, I read everywhere that overall they seem to be the best sounding exhaust on the v6 camaros. MY question is how does it really compare to the stock exhaust? I know its obviously going to sound better, but how much louder? I'm used to my v8 pickups in the past with dual exhaust having a nice rumble on startup and thats ideally what i'd like out of new exhaust. now i doubt i can get the same sound from a v6 engine but if possible thats what i'd like to shoot for.. Really would just like a nice louder sounding exhaust with a good rumble but not overkill, not trying to get a raspy fart can exhaust The stock exhaust now reminds me of what my sisters 2014 ford escape sounds like on startup.. soo quiet

Just wanted more opinions on the MRT v2 sound quality and if it'd fit what im looking for, thanks!

The MRT v2 will give a nice "purring rumble" at idle and cruising. WOT it will scream. Beware though, around 2000-2400 rpm drone will be noticable. You can cut it by installing the Magnaflow Resonated X-pipe, it will also rid the exhaust of high rpm rasp too.

ajohnson, I ran one on my LT for 4 years, and LOVED IT. nice little rumble and screams at WOT for a V6......I personally never experienced ANY drone at all, which is why I picked it to begin with. I had the opportunity to listen to it first hand on another members car before I got it....and even rode next to it with the windows open so I could even hear it from the OUTSIDE even at WOT. you will not be disappointed.

I am very happy with my MRTv2's! I've had mine on for almost 2 years now and have no real complaints.

Question...Not to hijack, but this system, that the OP is speaking of, is axle back. Would this allow for more exhaust flow? Im all about a nice sounding exhaust but, personally, I need more incentive than sound.
Would this couple nicely with a CAI and allow the v-6 to breathe better than stock or would the axle back have similar restriction, to stock, on the exhaust gasses?

I had a '13 2LT with the CAI and MRT v2.0 exhaust and it sounded great, way better than stock.

I have the MRTv2. It was louder that I wanted, especially driving. The drone drove me nuts! I've since added a Magnaflow resonated X-pipe and I couldnt be happier with the sound. I dont have a driving video, but I do have the sound at idle before/during/after.

A CAI will help the engine breathe better and the axleback exhaust will be less restrictive than the suitcases that are on the car now. I noticed a pretty big difference once I went with a CAI and exhaust, not only in sound but my butt dyno told me I had a better throttle response and a little more hp.

I have tried all 3 of the "biggie" cold air intake manufacturer's and I like best what I have on the car now which is the Roto-Fab.

I love the way my sounds as well. I also have a Vararam CAI and my setup is the MRT V2 Axel-back with a MagnaFlow Resonated X-Pipe and my resonators deleted, with 4" tail pipes.
