convertibles and pizza hut.

Even though I had a 96 Sunfire convertible from 2000-2008, I should have known better. It was a nice night here in N. Florida, so, i went to pizza hut with the top down, as it is still 70 degrees. But, since pizza hut now puts their pizzas in a different box, i had the opening facing the front of the car. Well, by the time i get home (an 8 mile drive) i find that the box is wide open, and the pizza has slid towards the back of the box.
This is just to point out my dumbazz, and to help others. :0)

On the backseat?

I haven't seen the box from Pizza Hut ... normally snag Papa John's ... and put the box on the front floor board, with the opening toward the front so in case the box opens, it'll catch on the glove box.

Air flow opening the pizza box hasn't been an issue yet and I put on floor board to keep grease off my seats!

That ridiculous.
You would think GM and Pizza Hut would get together and fix this atrocious flaw.

Yeah

the boxes don't look as deep as they used to. I will take the advice and place it on the floor instead of on the passenger seat. I just enjoy driving the car sooooo much.

Then it would just slide all over the place and the pizza would be messed up. There's a lot more lateral velocity in the trunk vs the front floorboard when ya take turns aggressively... and the front floor board, the box has very little room to wander as well!

When I pick up food in my Camaro, it goes in the passenger seat with the seat warmer on high. Also, thank you so much OP for saying "should have" and not "should of."

i bet though

If i use the word irregardless, that'd probably make you mad though, huh? (of course, it's regardless)

For what it's worth, I do have the trunk organizer thingy, so It might not have slid around too much. I don't buckle it in, but it doesn't move. :-)

They'd just release a TSB that says Camaro's aren't meant to transport more than 2 slices of pizza unless you have a premium pizza box?

IDK, I don't allow food in my Camaro, period.

Thank Heavens you didn't put in on the floor of the back seat...
where it would get soaking wet and soggy by the time you got home.

You may want to carry a plastic rectangular container in the trunk or backseat where you can place greasy food and then seal the container closed.

example: plastic rectangular storage box sold at wal-mart that is about 6.00" tall. only get one where the top clamps on very tight.
