They keep squeezing as much power as they can out of those little 6 banger turbos and the cars end up with no better gas mileage than our N/A performance V8s. I thought the idea of a 6banger was to save gas.

Some of it is displacement tax in some of the regions / countries that they sell a lot of cars in. China and some European countries have serious tax hits for larger than 2.0L and even more for over 3.0L. That’s where a 3.0 SC + Turbo makes more sense than a 4.0L V8.

Why not consider a cadillac then, don’t go by msrp, I’m sure they have huge discounts on them.

Cts and ats are camaro’s in business suits.

Best deal ever = slightly used cts vsport. More features than the audi, and would clean the audi’s clock on a race track. Performance is probably more on par with the rs5, let alone the a5 or s5

Get what you really want. It sounds like you want the A5, so get it. You may be disappointed in anything less.

V-sport barely breaks 5 seconds to 60. RS5 is sub 4. V-sport is a great car, but it's a long way from the performance you are thinking. Also not sure what features the CTS has th Audi doesn't. Agree the V-sport is a great car. Almost bought one but liked the SS better as. Performance sedan so bought that instead.

Also just got a card in the mail from Cadillac offering $9,000 off on the 2017 CTS so there are great deals for sure.

I currently have a 2018 S5 And the gas mileage in it is horrible. I don’t care as it’s not what i bought it for but it’s noticeable how poor it is compared to previous cars I’ve had with much more horsepower.

The car is boring as anything though which is why I’m getting rid of it and getting a 2019 ZL1 whenever they are available to order

Dont confuse 0-60 with total performance as some of these cars have AWD systems and launch well which makes 0-60 a terrible metric to compare the two.

Why not get a used S5 for $40,000 instead and tune it for about $4000 and have almost 500hp?
Great bang for the buck and awesome acceleration with all wheel drive and fun shifting with a Dual Clutch Auto

“The 2019 Camaro will represent the fourth model year of the sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro. Outside of re-arranged trim levels, equipment, features and associated pricing structures, the sports car will feature new front and rear facias – as shown by the camouflage on the front and rear ends of prototype models. Other updates are also possible, including changes to the interior and powertrain (in the form of new engines and transmissions), along with the introduction of a Z/28 model”

That's because the V-sport is the "lite" version of the Caddy V line.

The ATS-V (LF4) and CTS-V(LT4) are sub-4 second 0-60 cars. Well, for the ATS-V to pull that off, the conditions need to be just about perfect, but they are low 4-second cars all day.

The CTS Vsport I believe has the LF3 which is essentially a de-tuned LF4 (rated at 420 hp), and although quick, doesn't have nearly the giddyup of the CTS-V or ATS-V.
