It's one of the other categories that would have me pick the ZL1 over the Hellcat every time even if the kitty ends up still being the king of the 1/4-mile.

I believe the ZL1 will be very close and n 1/4 times and definitely out perform it in every other category except maybe top end.

if numbers dodge claimed were true camaro should win. However, dodge is well underrating the hellcat, SRT and Scat Packs. Hellcats are dynoing in at 640RWHP that is less than a 10% loss. Not sure how the 10 Speed will change the dynamics on the camaro. but i suspect the hellcat should still pullo on the 1/4 mile.

How do we know that Dodge doesn't have changes or updates coming for the 2017 Hellcats?

They are not underrated. The drivetrain are just that efficient.

The Hellcat HEMI engine will however remain as one of the best in muscle cars history.

Well, I think that there is little doubt something will change soon. The question is what. No doubt the car has tons of power, also no doubt it is not designed for road course like others are, especially when you look at what GM did with C7 and Camaro Six, they are obviously looking at producing performance cars that have many strengths.

The Hellcat is an awesome car, and I have been intrigued by it. However, for me, it's just not something I want. I am less interested in the retro style than a lot, i'm less interested in tons of power in a heavy car, and I really hate the skinny tires. On the plus side, it does have a lot more room than its competitors, of course it comes at the price of weight.

I'd love to see dodge come out with something that is more nimble, but I suspect they are content in their straight line niche they got going.

Reportedly the '17 (or '18 depending upon which forum you read) will get a much lighter, refreshed chassis.

Look out.

Only the fanboys would believe '17, since they know nothing about design, production, and testing. Even '18 is out at this point since 1) The new Alfa got delayed for US launch already 2) A new platform car would already be in testing for an '18 launch at this point.

More than likely they won't see a new car before 2019-2020.

On a related note, how long does the emissions cert last for the Hellcat? Given the trouble they had getting to pass to begin with, I doubt they will get a new cert for it without converting to DI.

yup, Challenger just looks...nice, but lazy and not quite the aggressive mean look you get from the other two.

I don't think it's ugly or anything, it just doesn't do much for me.

I dunno man. imo, the gt350r's exterior looks pretty sick. The cabin and lack of overall tech features make it seem a little dated though.
