Carbon fiber is like Granite countertops was 15 years ago. You say the name and people go crazy thinking they will be like the rich guy if they too have them. Haha!!

Real carbon fiber has zero benefit in that application. Their products don't add squat and their prices have driven people to think 300$ is a deal for an intake. CAI can't go out of business fast enough.

Plus, naming your company after the acronym commonly used by people online when speaking of the general product category itself is a douche move, highly generic and lacking in thought. How about they start another company called "IM, Inc" that hocks overpriced intake manifolds that also do nothing over factory?

It's actually smart as hell and much smarter than other company names. When people search CAI they know that they will be the one to come up. Genius marketing move in my opinion.

That's about right for a CF intake system...nice weight savings over an aluminum box...but what is 5-8 lbs really worth?

Not the first...and won't be the last.

Pretty sweet part! Haters going to hate. It especially funny when the haters are Mopar guys on a Camaro board talking about an aftermarket part. He'd have to buy a Camaro first before he didn't buy this...

lol @ $750 and people thinking that's high... it's about average for a CF intake.

You should see what they charge for like... high end BMW/FERRARI/PORSCHE CF intakes... $1500+

$750 for an expensive paper weight that could void warranty, no thanks!

People are spending $1800 on catbacks for these cars, so anything is possible.

modding is crazy expensive now.

No way it's saving that much weight. Aluminum don't weigh much at all.

CF weighs even less...taking the tube, and box material altogether - it's more than possible considering the surface area...though I haven't weighed systems to compare.
