best headers for max clearance on 1" lowered

I am lowering my vert 1" with Hotchkiss. Which headers have the best clearance? I would be looking at 1 7/8 or 1 3/4" headers and high flow cats.

Pfadt headers seem to have the best clearance. They are the only headers that can be installed on the ZL1 without cutting the under tray. However, with 1 inch springs you not really setting yourself up for clearance issues with any of them.

I'm lowered 1.25" and the only time my LT's bottomed out was on a long speed hump where I was probably going a little too fast. It has never happened since. As long as you're careful, ground clearance shouldn't be too big of an issue @ 1" lower.

Pretty much any of the major Mfg should be fine. I have KOOKS with HF cats and my car is lowered about 1.5". I've only barely scrapped over a large speed bump maybe two times. In general I don't have an issue with my headers.....now my front spoiler is another issue.

Also, if you're buying new you might as well get 1 7/8" so you have room to grow if you need down the road. Nothing wrong with 1 3/4" though...from which I can attest.

Are you a previous Mustang owner? The reason I ask, my lowered Mustang dragged my X and H pipes everywhere. The 5th Gens don't have anywhere near those clearance issues.

Like caverman said, pretty much all the major brands hang down about the same. I'm lowered 1 1/2" with Dynatech's and only scrape the dirt at times at car shows when they make us park on the lawn. Also, don't even consider 1 3/4" go with 1 7/8 primaries!

Yes, my 4th gen scraped on everything with Hooker LT's and a Eibach pro kit. My 5Th gen SS is lowered 1" with Kooks and I have never scraped anything. I mean NOTHING. The headers only sit about 1/2" at most below the frame. To put it into perspective. The 5th gen has 4x4 truck clearance in comparison.

I have bmr 1 inch drop and dynatech headers and I scraped once on a big speed bump because I went straight over it. I think if you can take it slightly at an angle (diagonal) you can avoid this.
