Ugh... First Accident
Not a big deal, but still my car is no longer perfect.
In bumper to bumper traffic, the car in front goes, I press the gas and look down at my phone for a second as I got a text, looked up, slammed on the breaks and hit the car in front of me. No damage to the car in front of me, but my fender is nicked up. Not MAJOR damage and no dents, but scratched up. Any idea how much it might cost? Sorry I don't have a picture, but some scratches and paint chips. So annoying. |

New bumper repainted is about $1100. Do the ZL1 upgrade

$1100? Damn. Probably not worth calling the insurance company, but shit I don't have a grand out of pocket either. What's the ZL1 upgrade?

Thanks guys -- actually found a guy selling his old black bumper on here for $350. I'll keep looking and take it to the shop for an estimate just to see.

So the phone that took your attention off the traffic in front of you does have a camera too? Unfortunate incident. When something is caused by a person, (you) it is an incident, not an accident.
If a drunk runs off the road killing a couple kids on the sidewalk, is that an accident? NO!

Of course the phone has a camera on it. I just went outside my house 5 minutes ago and took the picture. What cell phone doesn't have a camera on it? Is this 1996?
Definition of accident: An unfortunate incident that happens unexpectedly and unintentionally, typically resulting in damage or injury. Dude, take a chill pill. I didn't kill any kids drunk driving. I hit a truck in front of me at 10 mph. Let's keep it in perspective. It was my fault, but nobody died but my wallet. LOL |
