plastic paint help?
I would like to paint the engine cover the body color.
any tips for prep and paint. I've painted metal but not plastic before, i'm sure the prep is different to get the paint to adhere. Thanks. Dave

Clean with an all purpose cleaner.
Lightly scuff with a maroon scotch brite pad. Clean again. Spray an adhesion promoter. Paint as usual. I've had success with that process on plastics. |

I painted mine with regular Krylon and all I did was wipe it down with alcohol before I painted it. It's been at least 1 & 1/2 since it was painted and it still looks like the day I painted it.
