So, it wasn't in "the wrong hands" with the ZL1?

Have any private owners taken the 2013 to the strip yet?

Now, this I agree with. I have always been a Les Paul guy. Your comment rings true. I bought a really nice American Deluxe Strat a few years ago and can't put that thing down. Maybe that means I shouldn't buy a Mustang... PS, my Paul is chambered and is still heavy.

Check your facts. Even the little 5.4L had more stroke/ longer rods then a 502 BBC.

still doesnt make it a huge stroker. plus, Longer rods allow you to run shorter, lighter pistons, which actually HELP rpm.

and the chevy 502 had a relatively short stroke because of the limitations of the BBC. You cant really stroke a standard run of the mill BBC to large Ci size. even the 454 used the same stroke as a 502. A 4" stroke is not huge at all.

We also run a Kart team as KartNation. I don't get involved with that, but our race driver still karts and drives spec Miata's occasionally when we're not doing World Challenge.

I'm in!

this list has a few. but actually seeing them run it is different. i suggest going to the nmra event this fall. you'll see plenty of stock to stockish gt500's runnning low 11's with tires.
I think DragTimes is probably more realistic since it's the best runs for the average driver. Most of the times folks argue with on Camaro 5 are the Bonzai runs professional builders and car magazines pros run....not exactly representative of what the average guy will do. 2 weeks ago there was a GT 500 at the Drag strip and he had it teched, numbered and was icing it down, it had new dealership tags, but I think if was a 2011. I asked him if he would run my Camaro and he said he would but, two minutes later, he left the track and didn't come back...???

Furthermore, the Z will easily destroy 99% of the cars it encounters on the street, and look pretty damn good while doing it. Seems like a win in my book, whether it can take a 13 Shelby or not...

You are just flat out wrong. The Ford GT was rated 550 HP and yet it made 550 rwhp.

Inertia dynos are remarkebly consistent and accurate. They are based off the laws of physics.

Unlike a Mustang dyno operated by some idiot that couldn't operate a cash register at McDonalds. The operator has to make inputs such as the weight of the car. It is on Mustang dynos that I have seen numbers all over the place.

Just keep thinking that GT500 is 662 HP. We will see 700 HP times turned in on this car. It will run 10's with just slicks.
