Are those blackouts from a kit or did you get the dark tail lights they're supposed to have for the 2017? I ordered my 17 with the black tail lights but the dealer said they aren't available yet.

Sorry I disappeared, long day today.

The blackouts were already installed by the dealer, GM item. I suspect since Dave Smith is such a volume dealer they are first in line for a lot of things.

I was looking for the install manuals for 1558 and 1559 (the P/Ns for the two models) and I can't even find those on Edelbrock's site. They should have more information in the manuals as to the specific differences. Could even be related to the trans fluid cooler plumbing for the automatic, etc.

EDIT -- Although, now looking at their site.. I think it's honestly all in the handheld tuner.. 1559 is for Manual and 1558 is for Auto, but, 15590 is for both and does not include the programmer as it's the tuner kit.
Agreed. I also think they maybe they haven't got the emissions hoop-jumping done for the A8 yet. A combo of things.

I'll say that the seamless integration of this SC surprises me. For the majority of the folks, I doubt they could tell there was an SC under the hood. It's not a whip your neck at 3K rpms like some FIs, but just a smooth, quick ramping up. I would call this SC a "driving experience enhancer".

I have a built up Audi TT with a big turbo and there is no comparison. The Camaro is by far a more sophisticated ride.

I'll try and get it to a dyno sometime this summer.

Hey, it's their story. They do like to spin a tale, even if they don't have too.

54,000 for a car that can just about whip anyone and already blacked out is too perfect!!!!
