Mixing wife 1.0 and girlfriend 1.0 will result in the car being split in half. (after the sale) So, yes, be very careful on hair tie locations for either - and not both.

Advice: Don't put anything thin at the base of the console. There's just enough room for stuff to disappear into the gap at the bottom (e.g. quarters).
