exactly.....mine cost $150 with some straight pipes in place of both mufflers from the axle back.....you'll be much happier with the rumble from this and the cost.....good luck....

Here is what it would sound like if you had them take out the Magnaflow resonated xpipe and had them put in a non resonated x pipe. You do need some king of muffling device to stay legal.

I love these non-CA threads. I was quoted $300 PER SIDE for a muffler delete from two different shops last year. It's probably $400 a side this year. $800 to REMOVE the two suitcases... Someday I'll just get a Sawsall and leave em hangin at the diff.

I always think about the post you said they tried to charge you like $200/side when I tell someone mine cost $70 to remove the mufflers, have 3 in piping fabricated from the axleback, and have quad tips welded on screw Cali.

But there was a time when I sold my original set of mufflers I had on the car where for a week or two I drove around with it cut off at the axle and it sounded great honestly But I cant pass up having quad 4in tips because they look so good, otherwise I would have probably left it

I have longtube headers which basically completes the exhaust and alone counts for over half of the tone/decibel level.

Yes it is very loud with my set up, high flow cats, no resonator, lt(long tube) headers and muffler delete.

I get lots of compliments at the gas station, it is an extremely deep rumble.

Mine is a similar set up to his; longtube headers, no cats, and SW retro chambered catback. Sounds almost identical to the muffler delete I had before it. I do prefer the SW retro catback more because I feel it offers a slightly deeper tone as compared to the muffler delete.

You are retarded if you paid $500 for a muffler delete. Mine costed $100. You could have bought a catback. Do you have an L99 or LS3?
