Can't use a stock rod unless you want Wiseco or someone to make a custom piston.........Mast Motorsports and Scoggin Dickey has Wiseco make them pistons for a 6.125 rod...............Some guys use 6.2 long rods and order a common piston for 4.0 stroke and 6.125 piston to end up at zero deck heigh......
You have a crank stroke that is .238" longer than the typical 3.622" of an LS, so your pin height has to move up in the piston by .119". The math does work out for a 1.12" pin height using an L8T crank and 6.200" rods length with a common piston for a 4" stroke/ 6.125" rod ........Got that ?? |

Based on the 3.86 stroke, 400 CID if you use 4.065 (stock bore) pistons. 402 if you hone it out to 4.07
