Post 2018 Entertainment System to be Updated?

Hello all,

I wanted your opinion on the following:

Do you think the 2018 models will be receiving an update/refresh to the entertainment system?

If you look at the 2019 entertainment system, the icons seem to be updated for a refreshed look.

Take a look at the screenshot I have included.

Interesting. Might need to play with this at the dealer to see if there are any other changes.

I believe the 2019 screen has a higher resolution.

The 19s have a 1080p display with an updated user interface. However, I am not sure if the 16-18 guys can get an update for the new interface, would be nice if they could.

I believe I seen that the 19s have a whole different radio module. So it would be more then just a software difference.

Based on the above pic, 2019 camaro has new profile style infotainment system like new 2019 Silverado and Sierra. Different than 16-18

That is GM's infotainment 3.0. Upgraded software and hardware. Older versions won't have this capability even with "updates."

I tried finding some more info on the upgraded infotainment system, but all I could find was descriptions such as 'easier to use', 'over the air updates', and a lot of other features we already have.

I'll have to see it in person.

The new system is supposed to be a lot faster. I'm still happy with our system.

Judging from the pics, the new UI definitely seems slicker with an improved layout. Speed and functionality wise, the current system is fine. Still, the geek in me wants to know the difference.
