Anyone running C5Z06 rear wheels?

If so, with what size tires?

Looks like they'll fit with a decent DR, would like to have a nice cheap setup for the occasional drag day

Ehh, I wouldn't post this. I found the information to be incorrect for the 6th gens in regards to the z06 wheels. He mentions needing a spacer to run +56mm offset (stock factory z06 wheels), but no spacer is needed and there is plenty of clearance.

@ OP
A search function would have gotten you the results you were looking for. Multiple people on this forum are running them. I ran 305/35/18s with no rubbing. In fact those wheels can fit a 315 no problem.

Thanks - Was looking for a cheap (if ugly) alternative to buying Welds.

I did search, but this forum constantly returns a page error with the advanced search ... I got frustrated with it and just posted.

Much appreciated

Race star drag stars are half the price of welds. I run them. Great option for the price and ability to run 17s. Not as light as welds being cast vs forged I believe. A few less pounds per wheel just wasn't worth it. I'm hardcore but not that hardcore

gtkilrss deals them. He was the cheapest I've seen. Shoot him a pm ask for price on a set of rear 17x9.5 polished with install kit. They also sell black but they are around 40-50 bucks more per wheel I think

If you just want rears I'd go 17 x 9.5 and 305/45/17 MT ET street R. Be around a grand. If you want front skinnies 17 x 4.5 and tire looking at near another grand. But you'll pick up another tenth maybe two from weight loss and less rolling resistance. The R hooks good for me at 16-20 psi. They like a good 4-5 second burnout

Edit correct screen name

I know enough C5 guys that a set of rears will set me back $100-150
As far as weight goes, I'm not super concerned as it's a 1LE so it'll mainly be for road racing, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't like the idea of hitting the strip once in a while

Thanks tho - I know if anyone searches this will be useful info to them

Race Stars (black, chrome, gray) 17x9.5s fit, I've sold a few pairs. 17x10.5s I'm told will fit too but I need confirmation.

Keep in mind when you compare running 17s or 18s in back, 17" tires are cheaper too, not to mention they have other advantages like lighter weight and more sideall.

Race Star gray bracket wheels are the cheapest, then chrome, then black.

I bought a set of c5 z06 knock offs from oewheelsllc.com. Had to take a little off the calipers with a grinder and flap disc but they fit fine after that with a set 28x10 hoosiers.

I tried to get the grey and was told it did not fit the 16s at the time

The grey 17x9.5 are the same dimensions as the dark and chrome ones. 5th gen but the same size.

A pair I sold to Arun A:
