Upgrading from an llt to an ls3 questions

Hi guys! I'm thinking about selling my 2010 1lt with 82,000mi. For a 2010 2ssrs ls3 m6 with 60,000mi. They're offering me 15 grand trade in and the car is $21,500 ($6,500 difference). I'm approved for the difference at 4 year 3.25%apr making my payment around $40/week I think that comes directly out of my account My question is.. Is it worth it? My car is paid off and I've never had a car payment before. I know it's super cheap and I don't have to worry about payments since its automatic and also is stick shift really that much more fun to drive? Oh and last but not least. Am I getting a good deal? Any thoughts, questions, advice, etc. is greatly appreciated

Price seems about right both ways LS3's have been reliable so the 60k mileage shouldn't be an issue. If i was you i would do it. It really comes down to if you want a big v8 and a manual tranny. I had a 12 camaro v6 so LFX and currently have a 10 SS stick shift. To me the LS3 really makes the car over all feel better and that exhaust note from the v8 and the extra 100+hp and tq makes me love the car much more than the v6 ever did. But be warned that motor makes you want to play with the go pedal more and the gas gauge will show it but to me i doesnt matter lol.

Check your trade in at 90k, 100K, etc. Personally I would wait 2 years and get a 2012+ Gen5. There were many improvements in 2012 including interior, suspension, heater hose rerouting, and electric power steering. Once the car gets to 100K, the depreciation starts to flatten out a lot.

Thanks for the responses! Taking all into consideration. The only reason why I don't want to wait until the 2016 comes out is because I feel like my car will depreciate in value tremendously. Even more than the v8 ls3 and l99s

EPS and interior improvements didn't come until 2013 model year.
Any year/trim Gen5 v8 Camaro is a vast improvement over any trim package model v6, if you ask me.
I'd go for roll-up windows, manual seats, no AC, AM radio, and 426hp V8 before I opted for the highest end V6 package. But that's just me...

I traded my 2010 Synergy V6 and only got $10k since I was at 97k miles. $15,000 is a pretty good trade in, but honestly I would go newer SS if you can afford it. If not, the LS3 is awesome either way! Manual is definitely more fun than automatic!

I went from a 1lt v6 auto to a ls3 stick...OMG don't think.....just do it! I also got a 2010 2ss but I test drove every year up to 2014 and the 2010 is just fine IMO although the 2012 and up do ride a little smoother. No biggie for me as I wanted the inferno orange interior over a newer model without... I got lucky...only 11,800 miles on mine when I bought it so it was still like brand new.....

I'm not worried about the ride improvement in the later models much because I have a set of coil overs sitting in my garage right now haha but I think I'm going to go ahead and pull the trigger this week! I can't wait!!

2012 is when all the interior and suspension improvements were made. the only thing the 13 got was mylink. If you can get a 12 do it if not get any SS

I upgraded from a 1LS LLT to a 2SS and it is definitely a lot more fun and feels more complete. The LLT was fast but never felt like "OMG" fast. My '13 2SS/RS made the car feel a lot more complete than my 1LS, but thats also just going from a base model to top of the line 2SS Non-1LE (It's a Dusk Edition so 1LE wasn't an option).
