Calling all those with window tint...
I'm getting my SIM convertible tinted this week and I'm not sure what percentage to get. I don't care about being legal, just want it to look nice. I'm thinking anywhere from 15% to 35%. I was hoping all you wonderful forum members with tint could post some photos to help me decide...Thanks in advance!!

Pennsylvania law doesn't site an actual percentage that is legal. All it states is that the inside of the vehicle must be visible through the windshield and front side windows. So as long as I don't go limo (5%) tint I am ok.

Do whatever makes you comfortable then. The darker the better.

Dark looks great but being able to see out the windows at night is a real bonus lol

Go 15-20. 5 is just too dark, especially when trying to reverse at night. Put 50 on the windshield

I went with 15% and its not too bad. I do roll down my window to reverse at night but no biggy. Just be sure to have your windows rolled down before a cop approaches your car if you get pulled over.

35 is the max that will allow you to see at midnight with no problems whatsoever.
But 20% gives you a very nice dark look with night visibility that works in almost all situations... |

5 is way too dark IMO. I have 15% all around.

Just remember that what ever you get it will appear darker than it is because of the smaller windows and black interior. Also if you plan on driving it at night you want to be able to see out of the windows, trust me 5-20% will make if difficult to see in areas with not a lot of light. I personally think 35% is perfect for these cars, but I went with 50% on the sides and 20% on all others because the area I live in cops can be real a-holes about tint.
