Id go standalone. Its 800 bucks worth of insurance man, put good fuel in it, get the lnc2000, knock about 7 degrees out to start with and read the plugs.

Yes, wet systems are very demanding on stock fuel systems. Fuel pressure will drop, even on a small shot.

So are you saying that the car would run better with the engine getting 93 octane and the nitrous fueling only getting the C16 from the dedicated fuel system?

Or could you just run straight C16 in the cars gas tank to supply fuel to both?

It would be way too expensive to do that. It's not the octane that you have to worry about really. It is the fuel it is pulling out of the rail. You will always have the initial lean spike. A dedicated fuel system helps reduce it and it save the strain on your factory fuel system. And on that low of a shot you can run 91 or 93 in the standalone

Ok so the standalone fuel system is more for the protection of fuel pressure loss or too much strain being put on the stock pump to feed both and no so much about octane?

Yup, the added octane is just a bonus

I was talking with Martin about a Standalone fuel system from Texas Speed but sounds like they don't sell this particular one anymore??

Can anyone confirm this?

I'm guessing one of the reasons Ryan likes standalones is that way you are not relying on the stock fuel line and rail to supply all the fuel.

Don't know about that one. But, Nitrous Outlet has one that is made to fit to the passenger side of the radiator. It's aluminum, not composite.

Great thread this is something I've never had but wanted
NOS seems so cool
But the way so many are afraid to fill the NOS tank around here it made me nervous
When I say nervous I mean I don't want to get pulled over by someone making an example out of me

Something about transporting hazardous materials
PTuning will install the entire system but refuse to fill the bottle in anyway shape or form

I've had a few nitrous kits. It is fun to use. Very good idea to run a window switch.

Some places want your tank to have a current hydo inspection. The guy I go to for nitrous does not care, but the dive shop that fills the Nano does. Go figure.

Thanks Rhino, I have a BAP that comes on with the nitrous and I'm putting in a ZL1 pump I picked up on a deal. Are you suggesting I still need the dedicated fuel source, because I would really rather avoid that?
