Plasti dip! Unless you wanna pay the big money for the gm black out center. The vinyl is a never ending fight. I did it two ways. 1 mask off the chrome with tape and spray and 2 spray the whole thing and take a razor and peel off that around the chrome. Option two looks the best.

+1 for the plasti dip. It's only $6 at Lowes, Home Depot, and Walmart. It's super easy to use and gives you the professional look in under 15 minutes of work including prep time and taping.

+2 for Plasti-dip. Just make sure you get the sides of the bowtie good or it will look odd. But as long as you follow Fonzi's advice (youtube really tight shirts, you'll find him) it will turn out looking amazing.

+3 for Plasti-Dip. For the best results tape off the chrome and then black it out. Also use a wet swab to dab it down into meeting of the chrome and black so it looks better. The peel off the tape

I vote either vinyl (about $10 and if you can get it on good it's more permanent than plasti-dip) or plasti-dip....cheap and pretty easy. Looks good as well.

+4 For plasti dip. Super easy to do, hold on very sturdy and if you don't like it or mess up it comes off easily. Check out my build thread for a picture of my back bowtie.

Plasti dip if you are skilled with the stuff. I could never get it perfect so I switched to the eBay black carbon fiber vinyl. Under $10 took a few mins and looks better than what I did with my plasti dip skills.

Get quality CNC machined ones

$49 and nicer looking than Plasti-dip or vinyl. Machined to contour and powder coated. Easy installation. Just drill a hole in the gold bowtie and break it out. Install the new machined ones with the 3m tape included on the emblem. Bowties have a slight 3D effect due to the thickness of the machined aluminum.
