2017 Camaro SS - Borla ATAK Exhaust
Has anyone installed a Borla ATAK exhaust on a 2017 Camaro SS? I know its the most aggressive when it comes to sound, but how much of a difference is it to the Borla S-Type exhaust? Any feedback would be appreciated.

I installed a Borla ATAK axleback on my '16 1SS convertible. The car originally had a standard exhaust. The sound is very aggressive on acceleration, but quiet when cruising with no drone. I am very happy with it!

ATAK is more racecar! I'm going with it eventually.

What front splitter do you have? Is it the GM ground effects or something else? Really compliments the lines.

Have the Borla ATAK axel back and love it, loud on cold start, calms down after a couple minutes until you get into it. No drone. Quiet when driven normally.

Does it retain the npp function? If so, how loud is it with the valves closed?

Basically, exhaust drone is the low annoying rumble or "drone" in your ears at a certain RPM. Exhaust drone is both a problem in stock and modified vehicles, and a lot of the time it is most prominent while cruising at highway/freeway speeds.
I had the Borla Atak on my 5th Gen SS and I was in love. I will be getting the Borla Atak for NPP cars on my new 2SS 1LE! The S-Type also sounds really good if you want the lower grunt or mild racecar. The Atak is straight up racecar sounding but still not annoying for everyone around you or in your car.

I have Borla Atak on my 2SS with NPP exhaust. Borla makes it with the NPP valves built in. the sound is surprisingly very quite in stealth mode. I was VERY surprised that it could be toned down that much. I am very happy having the NPP still working as it should.

TO my ears, the ATAK has a more traditional “American V8 muscle car” sound.
The S-type has a little more “exotic” sound to it. Both sound great, better than the stock NPP. By the time I have the money hidden from the wife... WAIT, what? I mean “saved,” I should be able to make a decision between the two.
