Ford can call it whatever they want to but its still a GM patented and developed product. Not hating on them but I'm just stating the facts.
again, the owner of the technology refers to it as and has trademarked it as "Magneride", so pretty sure Ford had nothing to do with the name.

Cadillac STS in 2002 was the first car by GM to use the 1st ten MagneRide suspension developed by then GM owned Delphi which was bought by Beijing West Industries during reorganization.

GM called it MagneRide in the beginning but I guess the name also was sold along with the spinoff of Delphi to BWI in 2009.

8 Adjustable Vehicle Attributes?

“The new Camaro will be even more adaptable, with up to eight vehicle attributes adjusted to fit a driver’s preference.”

http://media.gm.com/media/us/en/gm/n...20-camaro.html

So based on the press release, I've been trying to come up with what could be adjusted. Think it say to assume MRC and NPP will add two options (Suspension setting and Exhaust setting similar to the C7). So what does that leave us?

Steering
Throttle response
PTM
Transmission
Valet mode?

That might explain things, GM owns the rights to the tech and calls it Magnetic Ride Control. BWI owns the patents and name MagneRide.

Okay, that is a better explanation. If Delphi tradmarked the name, I'm okay now.

I took that as the new Drive Mode Selector, which includes Snow/Ice, Tour, Sport and – on SS models – Track settings, to be 4 of the adjustable attributes. As well as calibrations for throttle progression, steering, stability control to be 3 more. Exhaust is probably number 8.

How /when the ABS kicks on, maybe. Each thing that PTM adjusts could be considered a seperate attribute, so that could be 3 or 4 right there.

Lol. The guys over there are ridiculous at spreading lies.

"I honestly can't believe what I'm reading on C6... They really do think that the MagneRide Camaro SS will be fast as lightning. "

Can't say I've seen anything absurd posted like that person is claiming or at least not by multiple people.

This release and new info does absolutely nothing for me

I'm interested to see what the price is with everything optioned out. But this just furthers my desire to have a 6th gen. Can't wait for May 16th

I'm not complaining. As long as I like the look of the 6th gen, I'm willing to pay $50k for a loaded up beast.
