Of course there are unknowns, but the point is that this is the LT1, and given recent history from GM, they are most likely not going to alter the engine itself for this application, it is what it is.
All very true. I just wouldn't say that the power and torque have been announced / confirmed / released (whatever you want to use) for the 6th gen.

For one, it would be a pretty major failure if the tubular tri ys don't flow more than the cast manifolds.

the tri-y headers aren't going to add a very substantial power if any. so you can assume the LT1 hp numbers for the Vette and crate motor will be the same for the Camaro. So go ahead and assume 455 hp and 460 tq. and if its more that's just a bonus.

I see a huge price increase for the SS. I bet it is going to be close to ZL1 money.

Not likely. Sure you could option one into the price range but you can do that today with 5th gen if you tick a lot of boxes.

I really hope not. The 5th gen was getting too high imo.

Unless things have changed it might not be required, remember the V6 in the Camaro used the CTS numbers at first for the 2010 models and was certified in 2011 in the Camaro when the HP increased from 304 to 312.

So it's possible we could see the 6th gen announced with 455/460 but it could be making more if that's the case.

Yes but if prices increase too much too fast people will begin to not be able to afford it.

I suspect the turbo 4 if it is the base model will probably start out close to what the LS Camaro does now. I am guessing they may price them like this
Gen6 1LS = or slightly less than the Gen5 2LS
Gen6 2LS = or slightly less than the Gen5 1LT
Gen6 1LT = or slightly less than the Gen5 2LT
Gen6 2LT should be above today's 5th Gen 2LT but below a 1SS.
Gen6 1SS = or slightly less than the Gen5 2SS
Gen6 2SS will be priced above today's Gen5 2SS but below the ZL1.
Now these are what the MSRP before options.

Rev Match? may already been discussed.

I just now noticed near the very end, what sounds like rev matched downshift...yes? if so, maybe comes with, no driver mod needed?

What would you choose, A fully loaded 2016 SS2 or a 2015 ZL1? I have a funny feeling they will be the same price with the "last years model" discounts.

Or a 2016 SS2 (full load)or a 2015 Corvette Z51/LT2 (before options)

The 2SS won't be the same price as a performance package mid trim level Vette. It won't be the same price as a Z51 1LT either. It is possible that a fully loaded 2SS could equal or even exceed a true base Vette, but I don't see any 2SS Camaro exceeding any Z51 Vette.

I'm curious what they say about the Hood and Spoiler... So far they talk about things like safety, weight reduction, better handling... but what really can be said about a hood and a spoiler that would be different from the 5th gen... I would imagine not the entire hood would be exposed otherwise they are relieving actual naked body panels of the car and no far everything has been Skeletonal pieces...
