I thought about it too. I have only done bowties and mud guards.
I would like to put in a CAI and different exhaust just to beef up the V6. I actually thought about trading up to the SS. Luckily I couldn't find one.

I did the same thing, I also blacked out my bowties and rs emblems. I'm thinking about tints and plasti dipping my wheels black. I also want to add a cai and exhaust but I'm thinking twice about it. Speaking of plasti dip, has anyone ever sprayed their wheels? And thoughts on this product?

Glad they didn't use the unique wheels on anything else. i was afraid they'd be the new SS's wheels.

So far, every aftermarket part I have added, I've taken the original parts, sealed them up in a box, and put them up in the attic... So far thats the original springs, sway bars, CAI, grille, side skirts, rear diffuser, exhaust and shifter. (yes I'm running out of room in the attic!) When I put the factory GFX on the main reason I did the exhaust was that it required you to cut the original tips off (at least an inch or two) the mufflers and essentially ruining the mufflers. I figured if anyone ever wanted to return the car to completely stock, it'd be easier to splice the exhaust in from the axle back than try to put new tips on... plus it was a really legitimate argument to the wife hahaha. Nevermind the holes I had to drill in the front bumper for the splitter.

As to the plasti-dip, the gunmetal gray frankly is more of a navy gray to me. There is a hint of blue in it... Doesn't look horrible but its not quite the gray in the stripes, which is what I was going for. As to durability, I did my TBSS wheels in black and have a new area's that are peeling back just a bit if you look really hard after about a month.

I just plasti-dipped my 45th AE wheels over the weekend. They look amazing and I've been getting a lot of compliments. I hope this stuff stays on for a while.....

Wonder how many of us 45ths are on here. If everyone posted their build date, then we'd have an idea I guess

Wait, you had them removed and then painted on? Interesting.
