shift points

hey guys, as you can tell, i have a v6 2012 manual. been trying to look if anyone has tested out the best shift points between gears. for gas mileage i use between 3-4k but im interested for speed purposes. feedback please.

For gas you should be between 2-3K.

I have found that for both economy and the easiest rev match between gears is shifting around 2.5K especially from 1st to 2nd.

Is this chart actually suggesting that the v6 camaro will go 243mph?

I'd say that chart is pretty much accurate. I don't take her all the way to red line when going for speed, but I get pretty close.

Although you know that since you have an LS you have a speed limiter set at 118mph, so for speed purposes you'll barely use fifth and not even touch sixth unless you get a tune to take the speed limiter off and some different tires(since the speed limiter is there because the tires are only rated up to 118mph).

And, as a couple others have said, for gas mileage you wanna stay closer to 2k rpms.

i switch gears a 2k rpm and cruise at 1.5k for saving gas is this ok ..i have a 2012 v6 2lt

like really? my rc car could be geared to go 500. will it? hell no.
