On the market for new Camaro

I'm on the market for a new Camaro and the 1LE caught my eye. What is the difference between that and the normal SS?

The 1le is a performance handling package. Doesn't change anything with the engine but adds larger sway bars, wheels, etc.. I'm sure others will be able to tell you more. Most agree that it's the best value package available.

I would say go 1LE all the way. They are all manuals so if you are looking for an Auto you need to go with a normal SS. The 1LE is still an SS, just a performance package upgrade that's realllllllly worth your money.

I have a 2SS/RS Auto- 1LE was my first choice but with my wife wanting an Auto and knowing that in emergency situations if she needed to drive it, she could get our son around safe in it.

About $3,500 for the 2013. Of course, replacement wheels and tires cost considerable more than the stock SS ones.

``````````````````From the Chevy Website````````````````````
This SS 1LE Performance Package includes:
20" x 10" front and 20" x 11" rear aluminum wheels with a 10-spoke design from the ZL1™ and a low-gloss Black finish
285/35ZR20 Goodyear® Eagle® Supercar® Generation 2 performance summer tires1, front and rear
Performance Ride and Handling suspension with front and rear stabilizer bars for excellent body control and vehicle responsiveness
TREMEC® 6-speed manual transmission with a 3.91 final-drive axle ratio
On 1SS models, this package requires Black Sport Cloth interior. On 2SS models, this package requires Black front leather seating surfaces interior. This package is not available with 6-speed automatic transmission, any stripe package or any dealer-installed wheels.
````````````````````````````
If you're a big road-race enthusiast, the 1LE is the thing to get. Otherwise (and trust me, the regular SS handles great), you're just burning up $$$.

Welcome to C5!

Drive one, then drive a SS. You will feel the difference.

The 1LE is supposed to be 8 seconds a lap quicker than an SS at VIR.

haha thanks guys! I think I will order the 1LE. Does anybody know if they plan to expand the color option for the 2014 models any time soon? I wanted to get orange, but it looks like they only offer 3 different shades of red, black, ashen grey, an almost black blue, silver, white and yellow.. Why'd they nix all the good colors? Haha. Synergy Green, Aqua Blue, and Orange?!
