I hope Chevy reveals the convertibles pretty soon!
Not sure what you're seeing or not seeing.

I remember that plant!!!! I used to live in Hyde Park back then. I used to go over and drool over the cars sitting in the lot! And I wasnt even old enough to drive! When that plant closed, Norwood took a huge hit!!! I'm glad Lansing will now benefit from the Camaro!

Based on the silver Camaro in the foreground it seems like we should be able to see the yellow roofline on the Camaro in the background from this angle:

Nope, the yellow car is much higher and further back.

Me thinks you want a convertible to pop out any second now

What he said.

I do like the yellow though, almost as much as the blue.

Yes, some of the interior pictures in the playbook look like they were taken on a convertible and there have been several camouflaged convertible mules photographed. It would be nice to see what they will look like and hear when Chevy plans to start building them.

I guess we wait and see...

I'm kinda afraid of buying a UAW built car. My stepfather told me lots of horror stories of things assholes did to cars on assembly lines during his 30+ years at GM. More recently the guys on the Chrysler line were busted on film drinking and getting stoned on lunch. The UAW kept them from being fired. They are building Jeeps today. I suppose they're a few bad apples, but total f*ck-ups are protected by the union so they can keep doing their thing.

Than why would you consider buying one?

Because I'd like to buy American and the Camaro is awesome. Is it wrong to want the guy building your car sober and not stoned? The UAW made Chrysler keep those guys working. What if all the surgeons at a certain hospital in your town drank before they operated, and their union made sure they could keep doing it. Would you want one operating on your wife, or would you go to a hospital where they fire drunk or stoned surgeons. But, I guess this is just a car.

Man, you bought in to the media driven stereotype of a UAW worker.
Sad, really.

I worked as a Quality Engineer at 2 UAW plants and most, if not all, workers were extremely conscientious about their jobs and wanted to do a good job.

Unions have a duty to provide fair representation to members of a bargaining unit covered by their contract. That means using due diligence to safeguard the employees rights. If a bargaining unit member is charged with an infraction, the law requires the employer to provide proof and precludes the union from determining that proof is not needed. It is the nature of the adversarial relationship employment law requires in labor relations. That means the employer must provide testable proof to an independent arbitrator, referee, or in the UAW cases an umpire. Failure to require such is grounds for a lawsuit. There are attorneys who are perfectly happy to take those cases, just as there are attorneys perfectly happy to take cases alleging a manufacturer improperly made and sold an object.

I too want the assemblers to be sober and conscientious and I strongly suspect those workers building the Camaro vehicle line are. Otherwise I would not be considering buying one.
