Upgrading my V6 brakes
So i bought some SS Brembos and looking to upgrade my brakes in the near future. I know that I have to order new rotors and I will probably just cut the dust shields since I heard it's a pain in the as* to get them off and replace with SS Dust shields. Are there benefits to upgrading the dust shields? Are there any other things I would need besides new brake lines and rotors? Want to make sure I have everything before I'm halfway through and realize i'm screwed.
Thanks NJB

Also, does anyone recommend a particular rotor brand? I'm not a fan of drilled because they get filled with crap but slotted isn't off my radar

New banjo washers will come with the new lines! OEM rotors are just fine, Stainless steel brake lines would be recommended though. Make sure that you order Brake lines for the SS with BREMBOs though. People are going to tell you that you'll need new mounting bolts, I reused mine and everything is fine, LOC-tite.

I bought Centric C-TEKs for the front of my SS, they work just fine for track and the street.

I assume we're talking about caliper bolts?
I've re-used mine twice now, red loctited them and been on track twice, no issues. I've done a full autoX season on "re-used" caliper mounting bolts too. I'm not a fan of this torque to yield thing, lots of manufacturers don't even use them on cars with the same calipers.

I don't- but the local hardware store had brass washers that matched perfectly for 9 cents each. You ARE installing SS lines, right?

Preferably both- but SS Camaro lines are required to run SS brakes. V6 brake lines no workie on the Brembos.
