Well I took it in on Saturday. 2010 2ss 6 speed.
They finished yesterday I guess the tech dropped my transmission on his nuts so he was not in this morning to talk to me.
2 things
My check engine light was on when I got in it to leave. bad O 2 sensor. That tech said it happens every time they did not charge to replace.
And second went to the highway ran through the gears and now 4th gear is grinding. Turned around and dropped her off.
I think I just want a new transmission. Can anyone advise weather an updated new transmission would be the way to go or will a rebuilt one work fine.

I JUST had the dealer rebuild mine. I mean I got it back on my lunch an hour ago. Ill let ya know tomorrow but so far so good here on the rebuild.

replaced:

1st / 2nd gear sync.
3rd/4th sync
2nd gear
3rd gear.

ME? 1st. I have never started in 2nd. I WILL though go from 1st to 3rd for normal/mileage driving in town (thru the hood and stuff). I also have the CAGS eliminator so there is no 1st to 4th gating for me.

I almost always take off in second, unless i am on an incline or im in a hurry!
