That is what my plan was this evening. I am going to put the fuse back in and see what it does. Then I will reconnect the m2w.

I did notice before I ever started to take the side carpet off, the top of the carpet was already pulled out of the push in thingy. Made me think someone had been there before, but I bought it new.

I would have thought that the original fuse is bad, but if you did a M2W switch of some kind than you have already been in there and replaced the fuse. It is possible that both the factory fuse was bad and there is something wrong with your DIY kit. If that portion fails it defaults to open, hence why people just pull the fuse. I woudl test the fuse with a mutimeter and also test your kit "fuse" with a multimeter to make sure the resistance is actually changing.

Also a very easy way to tell is clean your exhaust pipes after driving around for a day if only one pipe is dirty then your valve isn't working. When I had my fuse pulled only the inside pipe would get dirty.

I noticed that on my Mild to Wild remote the exhaust goes to "loud" mode when the "off" button is pressed and it quiets down (back to normal NPP operation) when the "on" button is pressed. Seemed weired to me. Also, when the exhaust is loud (off in my case) my outer tips are the ones that get dirtier. That part is what I expected per other discussions.

Think of it this way it might help you. Off the solenoid is un-energized so it stays in its natural state of open. With it on it is energized so the solenoid can close. Hopefully this helps.

Lord knows I could be wrong about which pipe was dirty but I could have sworn it was the inside pipes that got dirty. Hell I have a hard enough time remembering what I did two minutes ago lol.

I have the M2W switch. Go to the highway set cruise to 70 mph. Now press the off and you will hear it get louder or press on and it will get more quiet. It is noticeable. Also you will get a lot more pops thru the exhaust if they are open.

I prefer open for town cruising and normal for highway.

Just revving it or your test you are doing will not tell you. I went thru the same until I did the cruise test.

Good Luck

It is "off" because you are turning the factory setting to off. Not turning theirs on.

And pretty sure you are correct on he outer gets dirtier.

This is what mine looks like with the fuse pulled. This is after 1 tank of Shell,im in the middle of seeing if the top grades make a difference as to what comes out the tail pipe.I have Chevron in now,and then will run Mobil,if there is any noticeable difference on what they look like i will post the pics.

That is normal for npp with a fuse pull. Before the fuse pull, the inside would get dirty as well. I could also hear the flap sometimes. I think you are correct. Your flap has never operated.

I did the fuse pull on my ZL1 and I think it sounds just right. Not too loud but you can definitely tell the car has some power under the hood.

Confirmed, my dual mode exhaust is always wild. I put fuses back in and tested, flap never closes, had someone rev car to 2k and flap didn't move. Think it has been this way since new. Chances are, this is how I will run it 99% of the time, but I still want it to work. The fuse looks good
