403, Oldsmobile . 400, Pontiac. In 1978 Pontiac put the 403 olds motor in the automatic TA, and the 400 Pontiac in the manual. In 79 for the 10 year anniversary model you could order the 400 Pontiac motor and the Borg-Warner manual 4- speed, as the final Pontiac 400 equipped Trans Am's.

Why didn't I get a V6, you say? It gets better gas mileage? Well I just like the the power the engine makes from the lower RPMs and love the sound of the V8. Sure, the extra ~4 MPG would be great and all but who cares.

Yea, I think that a Camaro is a Camaro even if it ever gets an electric engine instead of gas. However, I feel the need to justify my purchase to strangers such as yourself (people reading this forum).
