Can you do a flow test, to see how much air flow will be reduced and affect cooling?

I do not think it would block much at all, there have been no issues with cooling on the ZL1 and the side radiators do have a screen in them. If you are worried about air flow, just remove the plastic that covers the front crash bar, that blocks allot of air.

They said the flow tie lowered cooling temps by almost 2 degrees. So I am sure this screen will make some difference because you are increasing the surface area. Since it is not a solid block probably hard to figure but at a minimum it would disrupt the air flow. I only say this because some owners have reported tranny's getting hot at track events, if this is an issue the more air the better.

If you are worried about cooling just remove the front plastic cover on the crash bar, it blocks 30% of the air to the engine, just look how much it blocks it. Your radiator will get blasted easy if no screen. The grill just has too much openings to protect it. The transmission gets hot on the automatics not the manuals. Also that cooler is under the belly pan.
