Feeling like sharing what just happened as I got home

So I just installed 1 7/8 headers with cat deletes, and muffler deletes. I try not to rev it at all leaving my neighborhood at 6 ish in the morning, hoping they won't leave me angry letters about how loud I am

So I am rolling down my street in 2nd turning around 2.5K RPMs, so my car is making all of those popping noises I absolutely love to hear

My across the street neighbor walks out of his house, up his driveway to see what is coming down the street. He points at me and gives me a thumbs up. I stop and talk to him for a minute. He just raves over the car, and asks what kind of mods I am running. He has a Harley and an old box body chevy pick up that looks really good.

So after all this time I thought my neighbors would hate me, it turns out I am have some fans

I had a couple of Mexicans working on the house next door and they were surprised when I started my Camaro up (LT header muffler delete) and were pretty psyched about it and one Mexican started filming as I pulled out

Same thing happened to me once with my camed longtube 2500hd truck (regcab longbox)...well almost the same a young guy about 25 years old was waiting at the end of his drive way and once I was in sight he gave me the finger lol guess he was not impressed with the sound. It actually made my day to know my truck was that offensive to some people

Sometimes people stop I front of my house while I am washing my baby and say "I love your car man" my response" So do I". At that point I realize how blessed I am with a beautiful machine and know it requires me being humble to own it. It could go to my head quick! Enjoy your ride man. Life is Good.

Nice! There's a guy in my neighborhood with an 8-second TT early 70s Camaro that always gives me a wave.

I have people give me black looks as I roll past at 20 mph in a 25 zone near my folks' house, exhaust popping.

They used to eyeball me when I did 25 mph in that 25 zone, but I slowed down to 20 mph for the extra F YOU time it gains me.

My new neighbors (a housing development sprang up around my house) said they LOVE my car and how clean I keep it. It's loud and my garage faces their house, so I appreciate it.

Not as loud as his car though, an '87 TA with genuine Knight Rider original lights and custom front end. He had two but could only bring one out west. 30 year retired Detroit cop... PIO for the local PD now. Nice people.

I think he meant the shelter in downtown Philly.
