seriously, i thoroughly enjoyed this thread. The recaro baby racing seat was so sick! but on a serious note, i don't know how it is in the rest of the world, but in CA, especially Los Angeles, your car is an extension of you. It is a driving community, where you can literally hop on a freeway to get anywhere in the city or around the city. What kind of car you drive says alot about you, or at the very least, influences what other will think about you. It may not sound too appealing, but the bottom line, it is the way it is out here. Chicks do check your ride out in Los Angeles. Now what kind of ride they like, that varies, but the SS is def a head turner. If you wanna pull chicks out here, get your whip game up. Its that simple.

True story: put it this way, my buddy has a mustang n he had a date in his car and we were all going to hang out, we r all going for a cruise first, we all had windows down and he decides to show off and do a fly by on me lmao and so after he flew by I creep up and down shift n just hammer the pedal, well when we pull over alil later, he comes over n says I hate you n I said y? He said when he did the fly by the date said "that was nice" and when she heard me fly by and I quote " OMG that was sexy" lmfao!!

Put it this way. My buddy, who has a Mustang, had a date in his passenger seat and we were going to hang out. Well we went for a cruise first. My buddy and I had our windows down so, being a Mustang owner, he decided to show off and do a fly by past me. So, after he flew by me I crept up near him, downshifted, floored it and flew past him. We pulled over shortly after and he came over to me and said "I hate you." I asked him "why?" He replied "when I did a fly by my date said 'that was nice,' however when she heard you fly by me, and I'm quoting, 'Omg that was sexy.'"

My internet's a bit rusty seeing as how I spend most of my time in my Camaro but that sounds about right.

Never did in the Camaro. Both my 08 Sierra and my new F150 get way more attention. Maybe it's because I'm in the south..I dunno. Maybe because you can hear the truck engines better since my Camaro was a V6.

Either way, my fiancee is happier with the F150, so..

I def get a lot of looks getting in and out of it and pulling up at places from chicks. I wouldnt say "go crazy". I get nearly as many looks from guys.

I am a good looking dude, normally dressed nice, so that helps. But Im also married, so maybe thats why they dont run up and throw their underwear at me.


It mostly comes down to money, if I had this car (even the v6) in highschool, it would definitely attract a lot of chicks, wanting to ride in it, and yeah I could def see it dropping panties. In college, its not as flashy, and now after graduating its even less flashy.

Granted, it is still a nicer/ more expensive car than most people my age (25 yrs old) are driving, but most girls dont know its a 40k car, and I may look 28 or 30 to some people.

Its all about perception, to the kind of girl that gets interested in a guy for his car, a 20 year old in a brand new vette screams money, but a 40 year old in a vette just seems normal.

Sorry if I'm not who you want to hear from (I am a girl, not a guy) but I'm very much a car girl and my boyfriend and I both have Camaros-- I met him because of his Camaro (though that's not the reason we are together obviously since I have my own )
