First Car Show Gitters

Hey guys me and a buddy (German Camaro owner) of mine are going to our first show here in Germany. Super Hyped about it, it's been a while since I did all my mods, but some are still waiting to ship (AAC cConcept side mirrors). My question is what all do I need to take? The drive is about 60 miles away on the autobahn. I want to
Make a PowerPoint slide with my car and all the mods listed and My cars name and put in the window but not sure if that's too much. Also want to make a sign and say " don't touch" and place on it in different locations. You "show vets"guys have any suggestions to help get that trophy!!!

Agreed. Not sure how they warm up to American cars there but relax and have fun. Putting too much "in your face" info and setup might get you into the "snobby American" group.

Just have fun, have a pint, and realize your a yankee!! The awards will come, once they warm up to you.

Leave the power point at home.

Take a canopy for shade, lawn chairs to sit in, and an umbrella for rain.

Take quick detailer and microfiber towels to wipe down your car after arriving and after rain showers.

Keep windows up, doors locked, and hood open. Keeps the inconsiderate from leaning into your car and getting cigarette burns from ashes on your seats and interior.

Be enthusiastic when talking about your car and people will feed off that.

Walk around and look at other cars but leave someone with your car to watch over it.

Have a good time!!!

what he said. Don't go for the wrong reasons. Also, winning is nice, but it's more about meeting people that share your passion. All shows are different, some judges look for many different things.. it's all based on "opinion". Present the best you can and have fun.

When you get there, wipe everything down, remove bugs from front, wipe the tires and rims down, make sure your glass is clear of streaks. If you spend more than 30-40 minutes on the car once you arrive, you really have to ask yourself if you cleaned it well before you left the garage.

Windows down and doors unlocked. I did too much work to my interior to keep it hidden. I have been to many shows and have yet to have any issue. Like the other posters said, go for fun!

Clean the car the night before the show...but after traveling to the show ther are a couple of areas people need to clean to impress the judges

Under the wheel wells
Behind the blades or spokes on the wheels
Inside the gas fill area
Inside the glove box empty it first
Inside the console
Inside the trunk down to the battery
Underneath the seats
Clean your wiper blades
Glass should show no streaks
Underside of hood edges heat shield
Inside the vents. But having them closed is ok but still cleaned is best
Tire treads should be free from grass and debris

Everything else that you would normally clean

The above done well at a show will take about two and a half hours

Of course if it is just a fun show, no real judging, forget the above dust it off and have fun

Bob

show up, clean your car, relax and enjoy the other cars and car people. Don't worry at all about "winning" a dust collector.

Nothing to be nervous about. New car. You didn't spend three months chasing down a new old stock muffler clamp or a T-3 headlight or anything like that. relax and enjoy it
