I saw a new '09 R/T parked next to an original '70 R/T at a show yesterday and you can really tell it's a carbon copy. The roof and belt line are higher on the '09 but every body line and styling cue is identical. In contrast I parked next to a '67 vert at the same show and you can see some similarity but the Camaro is much more contemporary. It takes some influence but in a new design and a much more up to date package. I think the Camaro looks freah and new opposed to the Challenger.

The Challenger R/T Classic (J code) Hemi-Orange was my second choice. I really like orange!

I think both cars are GREAT! I may have bought the Challenger if it were 3" lower like the Camaro.

Challenger is what the name implies... A CHALLENGER, not quite the Champion. It looks doofy compared the Camaro in those photos.

I almost got a Challenger too, because I was also getting impatient waiting for the Camaro... but then every time I looked at pics of both of them, I said "oh yeah... good point" and decided to wait for the Camaro

Yah, agreed with most on here. Challenger would be my second pick. Don't even think 'stang would work its way into the garage

I love the Challenger but I ordered the Camaro because the interior of the Challenger looks almost exactly like the interior of my Dodge Charger. When I checked out the Challenger the guy at the dealership was an a-hole, he acted like I was wasting his time, like I was just a tire kicker. I left the Dodge dealer and drove to the GM dealer and ordered my Camaro in January. It was certainly a risk to buy a car that I had never seen other than in a picture. I couldn't be more happy with the car and I am so glad I got the Camaro instead of the Challenger.

The funny thing is that people think that we all hate each other; Camaro owners hate Challenger owners, Mustang owners hate Camaro owners, etc.. I like the looks of all three of the cars and would love to own all of them.

First thing i noticed on the challenger was the wide strip of black plastic front to back under the door, to visually minimize the height of the car. They are just big. Just look at the 0-60 times for the rt, something like 6.2 seconds. 370 hp pulling a sled.

I like the charger SRT8 as well even though it has 4 doors its still cool looking imo. It hard to believe in this day and age muscle cars are still being built. Good times.

I like the Challenger- it's more old school than the Camaro- but a man has to draw the line somewhere (unless you can get both like the guy above).

Do you guys comprehend that the people working for GM today are the kids that grew up with Dad and Mom driving one of these cars? My dad drove a 68 and 69 Camaro on top of a 70 Chevelle SS. I have purchased every single one of them and well we make the decisions now sooo HELL YEAH THE MUSCLE CARS ARE BACK!!!!

The R/T is only 180 pounds heavier than the Camaro SS and it has a 0-60 time of 5.1 seconds. Not sure where the 6.2 number comes from...
