Cutting/Rubbing on the inside of the tire, anyone ever have this?
Video below, here is some up front information:
1. This only happens on 315/30/18 A7 Hoosier tires, does not happen on R7 2. I've gone under the car moved the wheel all around, there is literally nothing that comes anywhere close to that part of the tire. 3. Only happening on the front tires 4. Running 18x11 Square apex wheels with 26mm spacer up front. What the heck could it be? It's clearly something that is only happening when the car is experiencing heavy cornering loads of the A7 and the suspension is bottoming out (I think) but I am have no clue what the hell could be causing this cut. I installed the ZLE DSSV's today so I'm hoping that will fix my problem but I wanted to see if anyone else here has ever ran into this issue. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/aL-eRPot3EM |

I saw something similar on a friends car at Road Atlanta last month. His front fender liners were chewed up and we assumed that the metal reinforcement in the liner got into the tire. I think it was a 315, but 19". I'll check with him and see if he's looked at the car after the event.
