I always wondered if there's a possibility for an adaptive cruise control that maximizes fuel efficiency. Meaning that the cruise control isn't pegged to a certain speed, but the highest fuel economy. This way the car could maximize fuel efficiency for long trips (yes, I know it won't be the fastest trip).

Finally got out for a long drive. This mileage was cheating a little as it was a lot of downhill.
But, I'm still in the break in process and I do my best to vary speed, engine rpm's, and switch between 5th & 6th gear somewhat frequently. 2LT V6 6 speed I bet on long drives after break in using cruise control at 70 mph people will see 32mpg with the V6 (especially on the auto).
