GPS/Setting while moving car

Does anyone know if there is a way to disable the vehicle from preventing me from typing stuff into the GPS? It is annoying to have to park somewhere just to type in an address. Anyone?

No. It's a built in safety measure. You should be able to hit the button on the steering wheel and verbally enter the address.

I swear I remember reading about a company that can bypass this security measure.

Gen5DIY I believe does a Video in Motion bypass, but think that only the '16 cars can play video. If they can still do the bypass, it will probably unlock entering an address too since both use the same sensor data.

Yes, it can be done. Unfortunately, it is a CPU reflash, requires you to mail yours in to them overnight, and they send you one in return with the codes rewritten that allows video in motion as well as GPS input while in motion. I had this done on my car 2017 ZL1 and it works perfect!

It's pretty sweet, removes all of the motion locks add video playing capability rear/front camera on demand etc...
