2016 2LT RS convertible
Hello fellow vert owners. I love mine. Bought it used with only 4700 miles on it. The color combo of the nightfall grey metallic and kalahari top and interior was the deal maker.
After doing some research there were 6928 verts made in 2016 - they only made 229 verts with the kalahari top. Makes me wonder how many in the color combo I have exist? |

Well traded the 16 SS Convertible in for an 18 ZL1 A10 Convertible. Loving every minute of it.... From that:

Please share your SS vs ZL1 impressions. How much do they differ in daily driving?

Yes please share the differences. I'm going to get one and am very curious about the difference between the two.
Ride Power Comfort (mine is a 2ss) Biggest difference that you see. Thanks!! |

my take...
Ride - both MRC equipped: the ZL1 is firmer. Weight/springs as well as tires make a difference. Cornering, the SS has good grip, but the ZL1 is a scared kitten.
Power - night and day. You’ll see Comfort - the Recaros will be snug on coat sizes above 46. I like the feel of alcantara, and it helps me stay planted in the seat on twisties better vs. leather. Looks - I like the looks of the ZL1 much better than the SS. I’m not a fan of the SS’s pokey cheekbones and it needs side skirts. Biggest difference: I test drove a loaded 2ss vert and was impressed. The ZL1 vert made me laugh (still does). |

Had a 2016 2SS and traded it for a 2018 ZL1. Both were convertibles, as that was a prerequisite. Enjoyed the 2016 and the 2018 will surely be a head turner....

I read this article and had to laugh:
https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/auto...ge=AAxsZlf_2|1 1) With the top down, why can't you see? (Raise your seat????) 2) My boys and I have been keeping a count of how many Convertible Mustangs we can find with their top down (we have two 2017 verts between us). The rule is our top has to be down (top up for weather, wind, etc.). Out of a couple dozen vert Mustangs, we could find four that had their tops down. We have come to the logical conclusion that it is just too hard to put the Mustang top up/down (so why did they buy a vert in the first place? or better, why didn't they buy the CORRECT vert?) Funny how writers spend 30 minutes in a car and think they can dish out quality advice. The real world is a much different place. I am coming up on two years in my vert. Fact is, I enjoy it today as much as I did the day I got her. I have not been able to say that about any previous car I have owned. And to top it all off, I have put up 22K miles...and I work from home! I will keep smiling as I put the top up/down at 30 mph...and wonder why people wasted money on a Mustang convertible they are simply not going to use.

I agree wholeheartedly. I have had more than a few mechanical issues with the drive train of my car, but when i get out on the road with the top down it all melts away.
