? What's 3% inflation on a $30,000 car? I wish inflation on vehicles was only $3 per year.

The deal with the pricing is it would've been a $1000 movement in the favor of the Camaro had GM not picked it up $500. That would've actually made a great argument for the Camaro and "look at what you get for the price" especially the turbo.

So since the order guide states that Hyper Blue will not be a premium color and the pricing released here would have us believe otherwise, how certain are we one way or the other?

I ask because my dealer led me along to believe they had allocation and turns out they never did, and now I have one weekend left for my 2016 order to get picked up.

If I have to get a 2017, the cost of this car will go up $1,045 for me. This is so very frustrating. Almost makes me want to just give up and find a car on a lot somewhere that is "close enough". But I don't want to pay $47,000 for a car that is "close enough". I also don't want to pay an extra $1,000 because my dealer led on.

You do realize that they don't just wait until the next model year to make any changes or production improvements.....right?

They make changes asap on the factory line to correct any issues they find, so in reality, the 2017 model will be no different than many of the mid to later 2016 models rolling off the line.

Not that the first model year has been full of "headaches"....yeah..its had its fair share and a few horror stories with paint defects. But most people have zero or just minor issues to deal with. My purchase has been perfect thus far. (after sitting through quality control for an extra month while in production)

Nothing wrong with waiting to get the kinks ironed out. But for me it would be close to $1,000 more to get the Camaro I want if I waited. So far so good. I only have a little over 1,000 miles, but everything looks pretty good. Paint is good, no issues so far and my car isn't affected by the oil pickup tube recall. I'm happy to have my car now for Summer 2016 so I can hit the local car shows and enjoy my new car.

I think he's saying that he won't pick one up off the lot that could have been built months ago.

I was looking for that too. The blade spoiler is also not listed in the 2017 Online Order Guide either. I wonder what's up?

The 1SS and 1LT are about $10,600 apart. There is no way a 1LE package is going to be close to $10,100, even the SS 1LE package won't be $10k. Plus, not many people will buy a V6 1LE if it's basically the same price as an SS, especially since the 1LE option on the V6 gives you all the suspension parts from the SS anyway.

Maybe he meant the 2LT 1LE. You can get the 1LE package on the 2LT if you want.

Perhaps, but isn't that more of an apples to oranges comparison at that point?

Cooling Package
Y4Q Heavy-Duty Cooling and Brake Package $485.00
Is this a new option? is it standard on the current 2016 2SS?
