They won't drop more than $5k more on SS models. I can't see them drop below $12k if it's in great shape. Itll go up in value at some point. Not investment wise but it'll be where your loss won't be as bad a hit. Just hope that many of them (60-70%) get trashed in 10yrs. That'll increase it more lol

Chevy and others make the most money from high end fully loaded models like SS, Escalade, and do on. Especially high end trucks. I bought my SS in Orlando from a dealer who buys cars in lots from fleets. Mine was only two years old and was $20k less than original retail. I certainly didn’t mind the one hour drive!

The Gen5 SSs have been holding their value fairly well, especially the 2014-15 models.

Again, I bought my new '10 SS 8 years ago at full MSRP of $38,400. I know someone
here would love to have this pristine 5th gen now at $20,000. The longer you keep them the less of a depreciation hit you take. considering you don't beat the crap out of it as many here do. |

Gen 5s are old now; I know it seems like yesterday but time flies.
We're still doing better than previous generations. Jaguars, BMW 7 series wish they had our depreciation.

Come over to England, my 7 year old one cost almost what you pay for a new one!

I ordered my 2010 2SS/RS/M6 in 2008 and I knew I was going to pay list. In 2008 and 2009 there were people paying thousands over list just to get the new Camaro's. I wasn't real happy about paying list but there was no way in hell I would ever pay OVER list price.
I don't care what the resale price is because I'm not planning on ever selling mine. |

Cars are disposable for the most part. In 20-25 years gas will be either unobtainable or so costly using a car like ours would be only for affluent collectors
