My local GM dealer has smoking prices on tires, plus good service. He said they are changing part numbers, which make sense if they are changing the speed rating...

BFG's

For those of you looking for the BFG's, you may want to check with your local Discount Tire store. I had seen here recently that BFG was manufacturing these tires again. I went to my local Discount Tire and asked about their availability. To my surprise they said they could order them in the stock ZL1 size and they said they were available in W and Y speed rating. I placed an order on 09/05 and just got them installed yesterday.

Got a call from tire rack yesterday and was told about the rating change. I was told that they would cancel the back ordered tires I had ordered and ship the new ones this Monday.

I'm guessing that Tire Rack will have the tires listed on their website in the next few days. There seems to be a slight price increase.

I chatted and called tirerack today. They are not listed yet on tirerack but BFG does show a listing and part # 20717 285/35ZR20 100 Y 32255 305/35ZR20 104 Y. The fronts & rears are now Y rating per Phone Rep. I ordered 2 each. Est ETA 2-3 days. Received email confirmation (In Stock) , I have been waiting to order these since April LOL...

Good to hear they are back in production again. Hopefully they stay that way. I have had these on since December and really like them. Will definitely go back to them when it comes time to replace.

I have not seen the prices yet, but if they are now over $300 each, isn't that a price hike of over $100 per tire ? I thought the old version were listed at about $175 per tire...yikes, that's a big price increase....:-(
