Is your 5th Gen' Camaro an imposter?
The title says it. I was just on a thread about a member spotting a V6 Camaro sporting SS badging and it gave me an idea since I am pretty sure many of us are guilty of some of these types of things with our Camaros.
This thread is not intended to embarrass anyone. It's just to see how many members have the courage to come clean and admit they have done something of a simular nature to their 5th gen' Camaros. I'll start. I drive a 2010 Camaro 1SS/RS 6M in IBM. Everything on the outside of my Camaro is correct. However, I did add a GM aux gauge cluster and GM silver plastic door/dash inserts from a 2SS. Not bad except that I also added B.A. badges on my door speaker grills even though I don't have the B.A. stereo system. |

I have 20" polished wheels that were take offs from an SS and am working on adding the RS headlights, but no false badging. I simply like the looks of the parts I have/am adding, but am not trying to fool anyone. I am proud to own an LS Camaro!

My 2SS/RS is true to its roots. It was perfect to begin with so why mess with perfection.
Well... I removed my "chicklets" so those in "the know" may think its a later VIN but I do not have the rear sensors and I do have the GMPP underhood badge. |

cowl induction emblems from a 70 chevelle SS on the hood. Performance Divsion aluminum plate under the hood like the SS's have.

2SS/RS for me, supercharged, Hurst shifter, GMPP track exhaust and a Hotchkis TVS & strut-tower brace, park it alone, wouldn't notice a difference, park beside a V6 & you'll see a very much lowered SS/RS. Parked beside my '67 and the coolness factor goes up.

Havent added it yet but ordered.
Chevrolet scripts from a 55 chevy. will be on deck lid and on some custom chrome parts for the car. I lost my 55 with a job loss, so I beleive my camaro has the soul of a 55 Hence the tagline below but no fake stuff. I have a 2SS/RS its not that much more money. why not just get it |
