Love me some Tacos
|
Notice they used the Hotwheel Camaro for the pic. I would buy that color, though I am thinking it would cost a little more than 350.00 extra.

And they listed the Genesis coupe as having 429 HP, but a worse power/weight ratio than the Camaro... silly list.

By crunching the numbers offered in the article, one can calculate the cost per horsepower for these. Results?
10. Subaru Impreza: $120.80 per horse 9. Infiniti G: $117.26 p/h 8. NISMO: $120.20 p/h 7. Genesis: $108.00 p/h 6. Chysler 300: $102.99 p/h 5. Way bitchin' Chevrolet Camaro SS: $77.89 p/h (the clear winner here) 4. Challenger SRT8: $95.57 p/h 3. Charger SRT8: $90.25 p/h 2. Mustang Boss: $92.58 p/h 1. Shelby GT500: $90.19 p/h (And, for giggles, I threw in my own 1LT's numbers, going with 312 hp which set me back $24Gs: I paid $76.92 per horse...) Not everybody is concerned about the "value" involved, but, since the article was based on cars failling under a stated price range, then this dollars per horsepower rating seems appropriate. AND... with the price per horse coming in so low, with the "extra" money, a Camaro owner has a lot of room to mod and outdo any other ride on the list, and still come in "under budget!" |

The Corvette may have been left off because with a base price of $49,600 and $975 for shipping the price comes up to $50,575. That's msrp, your actual price may be better!
