I wish I could have gotten the v8 first, but there’s no way I would have gotten this car before my house.

I got my v6 because the 2021 V8 wasn't sold or approved for Washington state (or California) due to the copper brakes.

Either way, I'm super happy with my 3LT, but I don't track it

I have my eye on a rather tasty 2023 2SS that's right at the upper end of my budget, but has a lot more future proofing with the features and a much more satisfying driving experience.

I've gone to dealer lots and sat in a bunch of 6th gen Camaro's and my biggest concerns have to do with long term comfort, both on a per-drive basis and on very long road trips, as well as reliability of these post-Covid built cars. If any of you could share your experiences I would be very appreciative, as well as advice on actually pulling the financial trigger. I'm very excited about the purchase but it is going to be a stretch one. And staying in a V6 is still not the worst thing in the world, right?
The best analogy I can give you as I work in the IT Field... Its like going from Dialup Internet to Broadband high speed internet.

I don't know anyone who wanted to go back. Granted broadband cost more money, but if you can make it work, it is not something you'll regret.

Dang, I might need to grow up just a little. After a long mosey around I don't think I'd be happy with "just a car" over sitting in my (read: the bank's) house.
Thanks again for your feedback, and hopefully I'll be ferreting around in the used market in about six years. Talk to y'all then!

I had a 2012 RS/2LT that I had for 8 years and traded it in on a 2020 2SS on 7-3-2023 as a birthday gidt to myself. The 2020 2SS only has 10,791miles on it as of this writing.

+1 on the LT1

Changing out the stock run flats for normal (in my case summer) tires helped massively with comfort!

I have a 1LT V6. I could have an was looking for a 1SS in Riverside blue, but I got inpatient an after about 5 months tracking the inventory my 1LT is the closest to 8/10 things I wanted in a Camaro. Of course, undoubtedly I wished I could find what I wanted. But I do like my V6. Living in Texas, mostly highway I enjoy the higher rpm range, being DOHC with a 93 octane tune, less restrictive intake, axle back and deleted my secondary cats. It's a really a joy coming from a 90 vette(L98) lol. At the end of the day, I'm greatful for what I have. It's not a V8, but it's a Chevrolet, one of the last years for the Camaro in petrol form(maybe). It's the answer to the Mustang... the V6 mustang hahaha. I had the opportunity to go at it with it at one eof those collector C4 LT4 Im assuming stock and managed to out perform it..I look at it like this.. 90% of my time. My car is mostly in park, I keep it clean, participate in car shows. Calipers & stripes are next for me. Just enjoy it

Had a couple of V6 5th gens, when I had more money I upgraded to a couple of SS' in the 6th gen. No comparison whatsoever, they're night and day better. Would never go back to a V6 intentionally. I know the 6th gen V6 is on par with the 5th gen V8, but the sound alone is worth the extra $$ for me.
