Question about my cam choice
I'm set or was set on my Brian Tooley stage 2 cam but now see all this quality control issues on comp cam cores. I think he uses them exclusively. Now I'm not sure what to do. Can anyone offer any insight?

Call Brian and tell him you want it cut by Cam Motion.
He has a relationship with Cam Motion also, so give him a call... |

Does Lunati still make cams? Or Isky?

Most of the Vendors on here are Cam Motion dealers by now, and will order from Cam Motion if you ask them to.
I suspect more now are doing this by default anyways, so the Comp Cam thing should not be an issue anymore. |

I'd be curious to see the torque of this BTR stage2 cam...Havent found any dyno sheet about it. and yes go with Cam Motion. I would even pay for an extra polishing or whatever it takes LOL

I think & I bet Brian will agree that the Comp Camshaft will treat you good.
Keep in mind guys Comp Cams Group has over 450 employees! The number of camshafts they build in a given day probably is tons more than most cam companies do in a month. Just by the simple math of it your going to see occasional issues. |
