2013 2LT RS cold air question

I have read nearly all the posts about cold air intakes on this forum, but a lot of the dyno data is for the 2010 engine. I have narrowed my choices to these three Ingen long tube, CAI, or K&N in that order.

What is currently the best cold air intake for a 2013 2LT RS based on actual results not "butt dyno tests"?

definately do not go with k&n, they dont seal off all the way so you are still getting hot air and now more power than a stock air box, i had one and hated it. i went with the Roto-Fab and instantly felt a difference and was very impressed. plus it made the engine bay look cleaner

INJEN, then start the painting mods.

Have you looked at the LFX dyno thread? http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=233394

There is no cold air intake comparison testing on a 2012+ LFX engine, as you've clearly noticed. Hard to say if there would be a big differentiation in gain results between an LLT and LFX if it were all to be done again, but it would be nice to see.

Thanks everyone for the information.
I got a CAI intake for $315 brand new (w/ Cleaning Kit ) shipped to my door Saturday and installed this afternoon.
Not sure if it's because the computer is not caught up yet after the negative lead pull, but it seems to be a little quicker in the 0-60 take off and much louder in gears 2 and 3 when pushing it hard. (factory exhaust)
It may take a while to get the computer settled since I usually have a 14 mile round trip commute to work so I will have to take it out for a longer drive next weekend.
Again, thanks for the information.

My vote is CAI. Hands down the best intake for these cars. Butt dyno and sound approved. Couple it with an MRT axle back and x pipe and damn. lol.

If you are looking for the best gains then you can forget the K&N. Injen and CAI both produce solid performance gains but CAI is our preference.

Thanks for the info Chris14RS. Window tint to help cut the AZ sun, and then saving for either SC or TT... maybe both after the MFW runs out.

Apex Chase, I originally wanted the Injen, but could not pass up the nib CAI w/cleaning kit for only $315. The $'s I saved are going toward the window tint.

I currently have the k&n on my lfx. I felt a difference from stock for sure. Whether it's better than Cai or injen I couldn't tell you. I bought k&n bc at the time it was before I had found out about the Cai and others from the forums (I don't think I was a member yet) plus I got it off amazon for cheap. I really like the Cai bc it's sealed from the engine bay. The thought of making my k&n sealed off on the top crossed my mind. Eventually I'll probably look into getting one.

I got the K&N typhoon too. Its not like there isn't a gain, it just might not be the same as the other intakes. And for about half the price.

CAI is great, It sounds awesome, but I cant really tell you that much about the performance increase since Ive never Dynoed my car, best I can offer is a vague "It feels better"

On a side note, What happens If you forget to disconnect the battery while installing? I forgot to do this when I traded my 2012 2LS for a 2014 2LT, I swapped it out right after taking it home from the dealership then two days later got a check engine light for a few seconds while I put it in sport mode (and hit the gas pedal down a bit) but it disappeared when I put it back into automatic. It has not shown up again even if I switch modes to use the tapshift or give it a bit of gas??

Would there be any benefit from disconecting it now its been almost 1 month and seems to be running ok.
