OEM Mufflers

Has any one dissected an oem muffler ? Any photos ?

A dissected muffler has been posted on this website (somewhere), but I remember replies from sources stating that the stock mufflers flow real good. There is very little restriction (they are so damn quite though), so any changes would be for sound only. A power gain, if any, would be nominal.

You can't take pictures of the OEM mufflers.

They are so heavy that light rays can't escape their gravitational field.

Thanks for your input guys .
I've got an LS3 . Up ahead of the mufflers there are what look like two glass packs , the " H " pipe and then what look like two small mufflers and the cats .
Has any one removed the small fwd mufflers ? Or are there 4 cats up front ?
I want just a little more volume .

I guess you mean a V6 muffler ? this is the V6 Forum, But here are all the Mufflers just in case..
