Ever considered an LSA blower? I'm planning on going twin turbo with my ZL1 and will have pretty much everything needed for sale sometime this winter. Brand new and freshly ported blower and snout with under 1000 miles as part of the package.

Whipple. Give Ted at Jannetty racing a call, he’ll take care of you, I did, and for a quarter the price of a ZL1 I gat a 750hp at he crank 2SS. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG]
Install is easy. I thought it would have been harder.

If you ever plan on selling the car you will have a greater return on the ZL1. That being said. Most of the fun and learning was building up my ( her ) SS.

I have a 2014 2SS/RS that I am getting ready to put a supercharger on. I just received the quote and it is $6695 for the supercharger system and $1000 for labor. I am getting a TVS2300 that should add 200 horsepower to the wheels.

Once you go Whipple you never.... ya know...I ain’t got nothing to finish that sentence. But I’ll tell ya this. ZL1s gotta spend a crap load more money to show me their tail lights. A CRAP load.
Additionally, dollar for dollar the Whipple is more fun cause ya get instant power and it just looks bad ass. Wait there’s more. When the vacuum sucks down and the car feels like you just tossed a parachute, that’s kinda cool too. And last but not least, it’s got just enough whine to turn a few heads. Before I get pounced on.... ya do have to change your clutch and you can either swap out your rear end and drive shafts or just wait until you have to. Either way.... it’s much more fun to have a sleeper. PS. You’re gonna have to widen them wheels and tires.... 285 and 315 oughta do the trick. Good luck with your decision! |

If they’d made a ZL1 aqua blue metallic car I would have sold my SS years ago. Since they don’t I won’t let mine go. That said, as long as you aren’t dead set on your SS, go for the ZL1. There’s a lot more upgraded than just a blower.
